Goa Forts Monuments

You are bound to enjoy the trip to goa as it has so many things to offer.

It is a blend of different types of lifestyle, carnival, beaches, cuisine and the famous goa fort which are all scattered among the beaches of this city.

This can actually prove to be one of the best ways to spend your holidays and at the same time also trying to grasp the great Indian history.

There are several tourists visiting this city at different time of the year to have a glimpse of the famous goa fort which is also regarded as the famous architecture of the world and also have them photographed so that they can share it with their share of people.

Goan fort features a hemispherical arrangement; its triad lies corresponding to the tributary and the walls are about more than seventy feet far above the ground. Goa has always been famous for having an extremely cherished precedent.  There have been a number of forts in Goa that are evidence and a genuine authentication to the ancient times and a heritage to be esteemed and respected by the tourists and travelers.

Fort Cabo da Rama which is set on the southern coastline of Goa tainted hands.  In the year 1763 the Portuguese captured it from the Raja of Sonda.

Then there is Fort Chapora which was put up by the Portuguese in order to ensure the Muslim and Maratha attack in 1617.

Fort Aguada has been indomitable with its premeditated position at the estuary of the river Mandovi. It was constructed in the year 1612 to ensure the incursion from the Dutch and the Marathas.

Fort Terekhol belongs to the seventh century times and is located on the northern most incline of Goa on the Terekhol River. What makes it more interesting is that it is set on the topmost of a hillock which overlooks the Arabian Sea.
