The whole city is decorated and lit up. Everyone is in a joyous mood and celebrations take place on a large scale.

The same takes place during the occasions of Christmas, and Ganesh Chathurthi and Holi.  Everyone celebrates these festivals as if it were their own.

Some of the festivals that the Hindu population of Goa rejoices are Ganesh Chathurthi, Gudi Padwa, Diwali, Dussehra, Holi, Rakshabandhan, and Ramnavmi. Amongst all, Ganesh Chathurthi is mainly the most popular festival of Goa.
