The Older part of Goa chiefly comprises of churches that are associated to a mixture of worshippers. This basically includes the Se Cathedral, St Francis of Assisi, the church of S. Caetano, and especially, the Basilica of Bom Jesus.
Basilica of Bom Jesus, well-known right through the Roman Catholic human race in view of the fact that it surrounds the sepulcher and mortal remains of St.Francis Xavier. This structure was completed in the year 1605.

The Church of St. Alex - Curtorim which is situated about 8 to 9 kilometers from Margao is one of the most ancient oldest churches in Goa that was constructed in the year 1597. |
